When and where is the event?

The Healing Hearts Run will take place on Saturday, May 24, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Join us on the scenic grounds of Royal Roads University at 2005 Sooke Road, Victoria for this special event.

Who can participate in the event?

Everyone is welcome! Whether you’re a seasoned runner or just looking for a relaxed walk, this family-inclusive event is for you. Choose between a leisurely 2km walk on a moderately flat trail or a challenging 5km forest loop. The Healing Hearts Run is about coming together as a community, not about physical ability.

How can I participate in the event?

There are many ways to get involved! You can join us by choosing between a 5km run or a 2km walk route. A minimal registration fee applies, and everyone is encouraged to create a team and help fundraise to support the cause. If running or walking isn’t for you, you can also participate by volunteering to help make the event a success.

How do I register, and what happens next?

Are pets allowed to join the run/walk?

For the safety and comfort of all participants, we kindly ask that you leave your pets at home for this event. Thank you for your understanding!

Is the run/walk accessible?

Yes! We offer two route options to accommodate different abilities and mobility levels:

  • 2km Walk: This route is primarily flat and consists of gravel and cement paths, making it suitable for mobility aids and strollers.
  • 5km Run: This forest loop is more challenging, with gravel, tree roots, and inclines, making it best suited for those comfortable with uneven terrain.

We strive to make the event as inclusive as possible—please reach out if you have any accessibility concerns!

Can I participate if I can’t attend in person?

Absolutely! Even if you can’t join us physically, you can still register, fundraise, and show your support from anywhere. Your participation helps make a difference, no matter where you are!

Will there be facilities available, such as restrooms and water stations?

Yes! Portable restrooms will be available on-site, and flush toilets can be accessed in the Recreation Centre. Additionally, refreshments and light snacks will be available at the finish line for participants.

Where is parking and do I have to pay to park?

How will the funds raised during the event be utilized?

  • Access to counseling services
