Wave of Light 2026

October 15th is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day.

This year our Wave of Light gathering will take place at the Parliament Buildings in Victoria, BC at 7pm. We invite you to join us around 6:30pm. At 6:45pm there will be a brief ceremony where the names of the children we have lost will be read out loud. At 7pm we will join the Wave of Light and light our candles, placing them on the front steps of the Legislature.

You are welcome to bring with you a photo or memento to place next to your candle, but don’t forget to bring it home with you. Treats and beverages will be served after the candle lighting.

Children and extended family members are welcome at this event.

If you can’t attend, but would like your baby’s name read, please don’t hesitate to send us an email or reach out through instagram. We would be honoured to light a candle in their memory for you.

The Parliament Building Lights will be lit up purple on October 14th and purple and blue on October 15th as Canada also celebrates Disability Employment Awareness Month in October.
